Theories

Theories

I do a lot of reading when it comes to the latest vaping news and gossip. I keep seeing the same thing pop up in the subject line “Danger for the Vape”. Okay, so that may not be the title line of each article but in essence it’s the cumulative idea behind most of these articles.
I started seeing more articles being published about personal vaporizers and the local vape bars in that community. The reasoning I believe is that the FDA commentary period is almost over (again). August 9th 2014, is coming up fast and we have no solid idea what will happen. There are many theory’s going around from both ends of the spectrum. On one end of the spectrum is the theory that the FDA will push off the regulating again and continue to run studies. On the complete opposite side of this spectrum one theory is that the FDA will regulate personal vaporizers and all the specialty vape shops will be forced to close and the vaping community will be left with nothing but, homemade juice and jerry rigged personal vaporizers.
I don’t know what will happen in the future. I guess its all part of the wonderful thing called life. I hope and pray that personal vaporizers do not meet a horrible ending for many reasons including my love of personal vaporizers. I do believe that the vaping retail side does need “some” regulating. In the light of not letting people under 18 anywhere near these devices and the e-juice they contain. I do not believe however, that each device needs years and years of studies to be FDA approved. (Not even including the wasted tax dollars on these studies)
There is a strong belief even in the political world that “harm reduction” is the key to everything. This idea has been catching fire in the debate with the FDA and other anti-vape crusaders. If you keep up the FDA hearings you will know that nobody not even the government knows what will happen. The theories are running rampant and the authors creating hysteria for marking sake.  My honest idea of what will happen is a cool medium between the two radical theories. My “theory” is that the FDA will implement the already in place regulations and that we may see a few more regulations will come out by the end of the commentary period (soon or later).  I don’t see the FDA taking vaping away from the community because of the argument of “harm reduction” and the wonderful impact that vaping has had on our local communities across America.
What is your theory? What do you think will happen?
